Tier 1 Club Sports

Tier 1 teams compete at the national level within a structured league and frequently involve a tryout process. Participants train and compete year‑round, with frequent multi‑day travel and a high possibility of having support from a paid or volunteer coaching staff.

Tier 2 Club Sports

Tier 2 clubs maintain a strong regional presence while occasionally competing at the national level. Participation is determined through a less-selective tryout process compared to tier 1, and teams compete under an established governing body. With regular practices and regional travel, these programs are often student‑led, but may be supported by a dedicated coach.

Tier 3 Club Sports

Tier 3 clubs offer a welcoming, development‑focused experience with opportunities to compete locally and regionally. These teams prioritize skill-building and participation, often without formal tryouts. Competition typically takes place within the state or nearby region, and clubs are generally student‑led with optional volunteer coaching support.

Tier 4 Club Sports

Tier 4 clubs provide a low‑commitment, inclusive experience focused on recreation, wellness, and social engagement. With open participation and no tryouts, these programs emphasize enjoyment over competition, offering minimal travel.
