We provide traditional and non-traditional recreation opportunities tailored and customized to meet the needs of your organization.

Express Events

  • Recreation G.O (Get Outside)

    Looking to reserve equipment for a special day of fun? No problem! Recreation G.O. offers organizations on campus the opportunity to reserve equipment at no cost! But, for a small fee, campus recreation staff will transport, set up, and tear down any and all equipment for any event, anywhere on campus! Reservable yard games include badminton, bottle bash, cornhole, etc! View all of our reservable equipment here!

  • Climbing Wall

    Push your comfort level in a vertical environment. Our climbing wall features 10 rope climbing lanes, a host of climbable surfaces for dedicated bouldering, and two belay ledges used for instructional classes. The wall will have climbing shoes, chalk bags, and harnesses for use free of charge if you don’t already have your own equipment. Come see us and learn from our trained staff how to engage in this activity in a fun and inviting environment.

  • Wellbeing Center Walk-Thru

    Tour our facility and learn all about our recreation programs, wellbeing offerings, and services!

  • Competitive Rec Games & Tournaments*

    We offer sand volleyball, softball, kickball, pickleball, outdoor Soccer, and outdoor basketball.*

    • All offerings will be unofficiated

Pre-Planned Programs

  • Fitness 2 Go

    Fitness2GO is a Campus Rec service that assists departments, organizations, clubs, and campus partners who seek private fitness offerings. A team of nationally certified staff  is ready to lead you with a specialized event based on your needs. We offer yoga, pilates, cycling, Zumba, and more!

  • Small Group Fitness Class(es)

    Experience the best of both worlds: receive the benefits of a personalized training program joined by other like-minded participants in a small supportive group.  Small Group Training (SGT), allows you to discover individual as well as group success, participate in a comprehensive workout, accountability with a team and an overall strong sense of community all while being coached by a certified trainer.

  • WFU Team Building

    We offer programming opportunities that focus on teambuilding, communication, leadership, trust, and group bonding through experiential learning and adventurous recreation. 

    On Campus

  • Outdoor Rock Climbing*

    We offer Outdoor Rock Climbing trips at our nearby state park, Pilot Mountain. We have trained guides that would be more than happy to take your group out! We provide transportation, gear, and instruction.

  • Backpacking Trip*

    We offer custom trips for groups! Backpacking is one of the many things we can plan and guide a group on! We can go explore the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains! We provide all the gear, instruction, and transportation! 

  • Mountain Biking Trip*

    Looking to take a group on some trails!? Mountain Biking is a great way to do this! We go out to Tangelwood park and teach you the basics of Mountain Biking while enjoying a nice ride in the woods. All the gear, instruction, and transportation are provided by Outdoor Pursuits

  • Stand Up Paddleboarding*

    Want to hit the water and try something new? Stand Up Paddleboarding is beginner-friendly and a ton of fun! We offer an off-campus trip to one of the local lakes! We provide all the gear, transportation, and instruction!

  • Entry Level Camping*

    Interested in learning the basics of camping but not ready to be fully in the woods?! We can make that happen! We can provide all the gear and instruction!
