  • Athletic Trainer – Outreach; Club Sports

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Under the direction of the Manager of Athletic Training Services, the outreach athletic trainer is responsible for the day to day medical coverage in the college or university club sports setting. Uses preventative measures appropriately; provide standard immediate care procedures used in emergency situations; clinical evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning. Employ appropriate assessment outcomes measures to determine effectiveness of the outreach program; determines appropriate return to play of student-athletes and active population. Management of head injuries and concussions; referral to appropriate medical professionals to ensure optimal level of care; all duties and responsibilities performed under the supervision of a directing physician. Also works collaboratively with the Sports Medicine Team to ensure service excellence for all customers of the athletic training outreach program.

    Note:
    The athletic trainer will be employed by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Sports Medicine as a member of the athletic training services staff. Through a partnership between Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest University, the athletic trainer will primarily work with 16 of WFU Campus Recreation’s 37 competitive and recreational club sport teams.

  • Coordinator, Outdoor Pursuits

    Job Description Summary

    The Coordinator of Outdoor Pursuits (OP) will facilitate the delivery of adventure based programs and services to the Wake Forest University community. This position will manage the climbing wall and OP community events assist in managing areas of the OP program to include: wilderness trips program, and the Wilderness to Wake pre-orientation program. This position will collaborate with Campus Life partners especially the offices of Residence Life and Housing, Wellbeing, Student Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, Sustainability, and Global Programs & Studies to promote student engagement and foster physical wellbeing by all members of the campus community. Lastly, this position will strive to foster an inclusive environment that seeks to serve a diverse campus community through actively developing and implementing strategies and programs to engage underrepresented populations in OP programs.

  • Assistant Director, Finance & Business Operations

    Job Description Summary

    The Assistant Director for Finance & Business Operations works with minimal supervision to oversee the budget, financial and administrative management of the department of Campus Recreation and the WF Wellbeing Center. The Assistant Director works closely with the Executive Director, Campus Fitness & Recreation on a variety of financial, human resources, strategic planning, and administrative duties. This position supervises the Financial Operations Coordinator, while directing revenue generation, member services and employee wellness outreach for the Wake Forest Wellbeing Center.
