Technique Sessions

Technique sessions are offered for experienced age-group swimmers who are looking for stroke improvement and endurance.

Intermediate group – proficient swimmers who are members of a swim team and want to refine their freestyle, backstroke, breastroke, and butterfly skills. Typical practice is 1400-1600 yards.

Advanced group – proficient swimmers who are members of a high school swim team and want to build conditioning and skills for team tryouts. Typical practice 2200-2400 yards.

Group Swim Lessons


The Group Swim Lesson program at the Wake Forest Wellbeing Center is paused indefinitely.

Private Swim Lessons

Private swim lessons are for those looking for one-on-one swim instruction taught by a certified lifeguard and/or water safety instructor. After being set-up with an instructor, participants can set personal goals, working towards them during 45 minute sessions.

If you are interested in private swim lessons, complete the google form found HERE.  You will be contacted and set-up with an instructor. Following the instructor pairing, you can make the fee payment at the Welcome Desk or at deaconrec.wfu.edu.
