Our Mission

In 2019, Outdoor Pursuits and the Office of Sustainability teamed up to bring the ReCycle Bike Share Program to the Wake Forest community. Our goal is to provide all WFU students, faculty, and staff access to a healthy, affordable, environmentally friendly, and efficient method of transportation: bikes!

Since then, Outdoor Pursuits has operated the bike share program which allows the WFU community to rent a bike for one year (or semester) at a time. Bike stations around campus provide users with resources to perform minor repairs and keep their bike tires inflated properly. And should any major repairs be needed, users can always bring their bikes to Outdoor Pursuits where our trained staff will fix their bike and even provide them with a loaner bike if necessary.

Due to limited supply, participants must apply to get a bike through the program at the start of the Fall semester. Those living off campus or demonstrating financial need will be prioritized.

Help us promote sustainable transportation at WFU – join ReCycle today!

The Bike Share Process:

  1. Applications for Fall 2024 are Closed.
  2. Applications will be reviewed by our team and we will notify you if you have received a bike by September 4th. Bike pick up will be September 5th & 6th
