Job Summary:
The Campus Recreation Access Attendant is the first point of contact for Campus Recreation and Wellbeing Center patrons. These individuals oversee and monitor access into the facility and ensure that all patrons who enter have the correct and valid requirements to enter the facility. In addition, the Access Attendant assists in the operations of the Welcome Desk by monitoring the informal recreation inventory, overseeing lost & found, and providing excellent customer service to users of the Wellbeing Center.

Job Summary:
Outdoor Pursuits is housed within the department of Campus Recreation. Our goal is to provide the Wake Forest community with opportunities for engagement in wilderness-based programming. Under the supervision of the OP Assistant Director and OP Coordinator, this position will be directly responsible for assisting in the delivery of stated programs by working at the rental center as well as servicing customers at our climbing wall.
In addition to providing day to day support at the rental center and the climbing wall, all OP employees are expected to participate as Wilderness Trip Leaders. As a Trip Leader, staff are expected to co-lead 2-3 wilderness trips per semester as well as serve as a leader for one of Wilderness to Wake pre-orientation trip crews. We offer trips in a variety of outdoor disciplines ranging from backpacking and rock climbing to paddle sports and sky diving.
Each employee is expected to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week (one at the rental center and one at the climbing wall) in addition to their trip leader responsibilities. All new staff are required to attend multiple new staff training sessions during their first semester on the job as well as a New Staff Immersion which takes place over Fall Break.

Job Summary:
The Campus Recreation Facility Attendant has primary oversight of the Fitness Spaces in the Wake Forest Wellbeing Center. These individuals are responsible for ensuring that users are adhering to the rules and policies set for the varying spaces. Additionally, the Facility Attendant assists with general operational tasks to ensure that the equipment in the facility is kept clean, organized and ready for use.

Job Summary:
The Fitness Ambassador is an entry-level fitness professional that has the ambition of becoming a personal trainer or group fitness instructor. The Ambassador Program is designed to help facilitate in getting the individual started in their fitness journey. Ambassadors will go through a fitness leadership summit in which they will learn about fitness related topics, such as programming, assessment, special population clients, and coaching. The ambassador is responsible for staying up to date with fitness trends and proactively engage in the education material that will be provided by the fitness staff. Ambassadors are expected to fulfill the course expectations and subsequently transition into a Personal Trainer/Group Fitness role after the completion of the program.

Job Summary:
Graphic Designers are responsible for creating marketing materials at the request of the professional staff members for the Wake Forest Campus Recreation Department. While we will train student employees in their professional skills during their time on the marketing team, this position involves having effective communication skills and the ability to work independently, as well as, part of a team. Graphic Designers are responsible for upholding the brand standards as set forth by Wake Forest University and the Wellbeing Center through promoting the all-inclusive environment in which our events and programs occur.

Lifeguards provide personal safety for any individual using the Wake Forest natatorium including the swimming pool, Vortex whirlpool, locker rooms, showers, and surrounding areas through preventative guarding methods. Job Summary:
Social Media Assistants are responsible for creating and posting content to the social media channels for the Wake Forest Campus Recreation accounts. Content should highlight the various program areas of Campus Recreation and help support the mission and strategic priorities of CR. The role of Social Media Assistant for the Marketing Team requires writing skills, effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently, as well as part of a team. This role for the Marketing Team requires writing and communication skills (see preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities), and preferred prior Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter knowledge, though Marketing training will be provided. All content created is expected to uphold standards as set forth by Wake Forest University and the Wellbeing Center.
