Wellness Memberships & Fees, 2024-25
The Wake Forest Campus Community welcomed the re-opening of a renovated Reynolds Gym in the Fall of 2017. The former gym returned to Wake Forest as the state-of-the-art Wellbeing Center. On any given day, students, faculty, staff and others are likely to take advantage of the expansive cardio and weight equipment, dedicated functional training space, personal and small group training, activity courts, climbing and bouldering wall, expanded operating hours, comfortable lounge and meeting space, and much more.
In support of the gym and the University’s extensive Wellbeing Center facilities, the University requires Wellbeing Center membership fees from most members as follows:
- Reynolda Campus students is $197 per semester
- Benefits-eligible faculty and staff of the Reynolda Campus receive a Wellbeing Center membership as an employee benefit
- Non-Benefit Employees and Affiliate Employees of the Reynolda Campus have the opportunity to purchase a Wellbeing Center membership for $35/month
- Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Employees and School of Medicine Faculty/Staff is $50/month, see more information below.
- Residents of Private Homes on the Reynolda Campus beginning January 2, 2024 for $50/month, see more information below.
Details pertaining to various campus populations are outlined below.
The wellness center fee/membership will grant access to state-of-the-art Wellbeing Center on campus, including Reynolds Gym, Sutton Center and Campus Recreation playing fields and equipment. Benefits of a membership include access to:
- 18,500 square feet of cardio and weight equipment on 4 floors, and nearly 100 pieces of cardio equipment with integrated technology
- A dedicated functional training area
- Personal and small group training
- Fitness classes in renovated exercise studios and a new cycle studio
- A bouldering wall and a climbing wall
- An enlarged and improved swimming pool plus a large vortex whirlpool
- 2 gymnasiums and 2 multipurpose activity courts
- Dedicated club sport studios
- Enlarged and enhanced locker rooms
- Comfortable lounge spaces including a large 3,000 square-foot living room with a fireplace
- Three flexible classroom spaces and several conference rooms
- Access to free recreation equipment checkout for use on campus outdoor facilities including:
- Basketball
- Soccer
- Sand Volleyball
- Tennis
- Pickleball
- Disc Golf
- The ability to participate in the following programs (participation fees vary, *students will receive discounts on most fitness and outdoor recreation programs):
- Group fitness classes*
- Personal and small group training*
- Outdoor pursuits trips*
- Outdoor gear rental*
- Intramurals
- Competitive club sports
The Wellness Fee for the 2024-2025 academic year will be $197 per semester for all Reynolda undergraduate students. The wellness fee will appear on the student account and will provide students access to campus wellness, recreation and fitness facilities, equipment, group fitness classes and intramural programs.
Wake Forest students, faculty and staff may purchase a day pass for guests ($5 per guest, 2 guests per day) who are ages 18 and older. Sponsors must remain in the Wellbeing Center for the duration of the guests visit.
The Wellness Fee will be included in the total cost of attendance for all Reynolda Campus graduate and professional students. Graduate students may opt to have the fee waived online through Workday Student. Graduate students who opted out of the fee can pay the Wellness Fee in full ($197) at anytime to regain access to the Wellbeing Center and Campus Recreation programs and services.
To waive, login to Workday > Enter “Create Request” in search bar > Request Type: Graduate/Professional Wellness Fee Waiver > Click Submit. Once the waiver is complete, it cannot be reversed. The waiver is good for the Semester it is submitted for and separate requests must be made for the Spring and Fall. The Wellness Center Fee will be credited to the student account in 2-5 business days.
The Wellness Fee waiver period will start on the first day of billing for a semester and will close one week after the start of classes (Following the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences Academic Calendar). No waivers will be granted after that period.
REMINDER: Students who elect to waive the wellness fee will not have access to state-of-the-art wellbeing facilities on campus, including Reynolds Gym, Sutton Center and Campus Recreation playing fields. In addition, participation will not be available in the following programs:
- Group Fitness classes
- Personal and small group training
- Outdoor Pursuits trips
- Outdoor gear rental
- Intramural Sports
- Competitive Club Sports
At this time, benefits-eligible faculty, staff and retirees will receive a Wellbeing Center membership at no cost as an employee benefit. All other WFU employees will have the option to purchase a Wellbeing Center membership through Campus Recreation.
Wake Forest students, faculty and staff may purchase a day pass for guests ($5 per guest, 2 guests per day) who are ages 18 and older. Sponsors must remain in the Wellbeing Center for the duration of the guests visit.
Benefits eligible employees of most Wake Forest business partners (e.g., Harvest Table, Follett, Budd Services) who work on a WFU campus may receive a Wellbeing Center membership as a benefit of employment. Business partners should contact their respective campus managers for information on how to participate. All other part time partner employees may purchase a Wellbeing Center membership through Campus Recreation at a cost of $35 per month.
Business partners who are benefits eligible and are seeking to establish a membership should email please email Campus Recreation at campusrec@wfu.edu.
Faculty and Staff of Wake Forest School of Medicine will have the option to purchase a Wellbeing Center Membership through Campus Recreation at a cost of $50 per month, which includes access to Group Fitness Classes. Usage of the Wellbeing Center is limited to weekdays prior to 3p and all day on weekends.
If you are interested in applying for the WBC Membership, please complete the following application. A valid Wake Forest School of Medicine ID will need to be provided with the application.
Once approved, Campus Recreation staff will reach out to provide information on purchasing the membership, as well as issuing a Wellbeing Center card from the Deacon One Office to enter the facility.
Parking is permitted for School of Medicine Employees in any general parking lot, but vehicles must display the barcode parking permit issued by WF Baptist Med Center. Lot W1 is the closest general lot to the Wellbeing Center.
At this time, we are not able to extend memberships to spouses/partners/dependents of the School of Medicine employees.
Students of Wake Forest School of Medicine will have the option to purchase a Wellbeing Center Membership through Campus Recreation at a cost of $35 per month. A valid Wake Forest School of Medicine ID will need to be presented at the Welcome Desk of Reynolds Gym at the time of purchase. A Wellbeing Center ID card will be issued from the Deacon One card office to each student for utilization within the Wellbeing Center

Employees of the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center will have the option to purchase a Wellbeing Center Membership through Campus Recreation at a cost of $50 per month, which includes access to Group Fitness Classes. Usage of the Wellbeing Center is limited to weekdays prior to 3p and all day on weekends.
If you are interested in applying for the WBC Membership, please complete the following application. A valid AHWFB Medical ID must to be provided with the application.
Once approved, Campus Recreation staff will reach out to provide information on purchasing the membership, as well as issuing a Wellbeing Center card from the Deacon One Office to enter the facility.
Parking is permitted for AHWFB Employees in any general parking lot, but vehicles must display the barcode parking permit issued by WF Baptist Medical Center. Lot W1 is the closest general lot to the Wellbeing Center.

Individuals (18+) living in a private home on Reynolda Campus will have the option to purchase a Wellbeing Center Membership through Campus Recreation at a cost of $50 per month, which includes access to Group Fitness Classes. Usage of the Wellbeing Center is limited to weekdays prior to 3p and all day on weekends.

Once approved, Campus Recreation staff will reach out to provide information on purchasing the membership. You must use your Gate Pass ID card to access the facility.
A valid parking pass is required when parking in Reynolda Campus Lots.
Wake Forest University alumni, parents, and siblings will not be eligible for a wellness center membership.
However, Wake Forest University students and employees who have a Wellbeing Center membership will be able to purchase a day pass through Campus Recreation for a guest age 16 or older who is accompanying them for a rate of $5 per guest (up to 2 guests per member, per day). Guest passes can be purchased at the Welcome Desk during operational hours. Valid ID will be required for entry.
Guests on the Wake Forest campus for camps, conferences, and at the Graylyn Conference Center may also purchase a guest pass from Campus Recreation. Rates are listed below:
- $10 (day)
- $20 (week)
Wake Forest University students and employees who have a wellness center membership are permitted to bring up to 2 guests (age 16 or older) per visit for a rate of $5 per guest. Guest passes may be purchased at the Welcome Desk of the Wellbeing Center during operational hours. Guests may include parents, siblings, and WFU alumni. Valid ID will be required for entry.
The spouses and partners of Wake Forest University Reynolda Campus Students (undergraduate and graduate), Faculty, Staff and Retirees who have an active membership may purchase their own Wellbeing Center membership through Campus Recreation at a rate of $35 per month.
Dependents of Wake Forest University Reynolda Campus faculty, staff, students and retirees who are age 18 to 26 years or older may also purchase a Wellbeing Center membership at a rate of $35 per month.

An active membership is required for the sponsor to add a P/S/D membership.
At this time, we are not able to offer Partner / Spouse / Dependent memberships to our School of Medicine Employee or Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical School Memberships
