Small Group Training

Small Group Training is the newest fitness offering from Campus Recreation. Now offering both one hour and thirty minute class options, this type of class provides a unique experience by utilizing state of the art equipment only available to its participants. Keeping class capacity to between eight and twelve participants ensures not to only enhance a workout experience, but engages participants with a stronger sense of camaraderie while providing measurable results as well as immediate feedback from a certified instructor. Classes run for four weeks and are held twice per week. Register in advance, as space is limited!

Classes offerings are exclusive to it’s registered participants for that time slot and may not be interchanged with other offerings at different times.

Have an idea for a class you’d like to have customized especially for your group of 4-8 participants? Let us know when you’d like it to start and what the group’s collective goal is and we’ll take care of the rest! Customized classes can start at anytime throughout the semester and will run for 4 weeks being held twice per week. Email with class ideas and start dates! We will offer it exclusively for your group only! We look forward to getting your group started now!


Born in the Navy SEALs, Suspension Training body weight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete hundreds of exercises. In this class, participants will experience moderate to high intensity exercises incorporating the TRX with dynamic warm-up and a yoga based cool down. This class is best suited for all fitness levels with modifications being offered. Class size is limited to 8 participants.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

H.I.I.T. or high-intensity interval training, is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This 30-minute class gets your heart rate up quickly and keeps it up allowing for more fat burn more fat in less time. Offering an athletic warm-up and including a performance-based series of stretches at the end, HIIT will provide a well-rounded opportunity for anyone to push themselves past their comfort zone. All levels of fitness are welcome! Class size is limited to 10 participants.

Climb Strong

This new Campus Recreation collaboration between Fitness’s Training Programs and  Outdoors Pursuits climbing team will take your rock climbing specific strength and technique to the next level. This training plan is comprised of two days a week with the first day spent with your certified trainer to strengthen and stretch muscles to improve your strength and flexibility specific to climbing. On the second day, you will work with a professional from Outdoor Pursuits climbing team on the state of the art indoor rock climbing wall to build climbing strength and endurance. Previous climbing experience recommended but not necessary. Class size is limited to 8 participants.


This high energy class offers a forever changing variety of high intensity, functional movements using our new selection of performance equipment that will increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Cross-Train is perfect for all fitness levels and is guaranteed to provide a welcome change to your usual exercise routine. Class size is limited to 10 participants.

Tuesday and Thursday 4:45-5:45 p.m.

Lean and Fit Bootcamp

This bootcamp will be sure to challenge any participant to rethink the way they exercise. Utilizing plyometric exercises, functional strength exercises and yoga-inspired stretching this class will bring out the inner-athlete in anyone willing to step through the door. See measurable results, feel leaner and more fit while having fun at the same time! Class size is limited to 10 participants.

Tuesday and Thursday 3-4 p.m.

Core-Blast Bootcamp (30 minute)

The days of training the abs by themselves and calling it core work is over! Train the entire body as one piece of the entire core and unlock more power to use for any sport, activity or everyday task in just 30 intense minutes! This class focuses on intense abdominal and low back training while simultaneously using the entire body to push anyone to be a stronger human being! Using the TRX, Kettlebells, and many other functional training tools, participants will take their “core work” to a new level! Class size is limited to 12 participants.

H.I.I.T & Flow

H.I.I.T & Flow was designed for those who want increased endurance, muscle tone, balance and flexibility. This High Intensity Interval Training routine is perfectly complimented by breif segments of yoga-based, active recovery poses. The unique characteristics of this class makes it a one of a kind offering with one of a kind results! All exercise levels welcome. Class is limited to 8 participants.

Plyo Burn

Plyo Burn is based on the foundation of plyometric training. Explosive and powerful athletic movements will ignite fast-twitch muscle fibers bringing out anyone’s inner athlete. This circuit-based class will take you to the edge by pushing every muscle to the point of exhaustion. By incorporating circuits of functional movements in this fashion, participants will see increased strength and endurance, not to mention a lean and toned physique. All fitness levels welcome! This class is limited to 8 participants.
